Finca La Belén it is a typical Camagüey farm, about 54 km from Camagüey in Najasa municipality, in the Sierra del Chorrillo. It is a Natural Resources protected area where visitors can get up close and personal with endemic flora and fauna. Bird watching is on marked trials where you can spot different species including: Kingbirds, Woodpeckers, parrots, hummingbirds, Cuban Pygmy Owl, and a long list of endemic such as Cuban Crow, & Palm Crow.
While Hurricane Irma caused severe damage in Cayo Coco, the hotels plan to reopen by the end of November 2017. Trips to see the local endemic and rare birds of Cayo Coco—Zapata Sparrow, Oriente Warbler, Cuban Gnatcatcher, Piping Plover, and Black-bellied Plover—will resume then.
